I love anything old. I’ve always had old furniture and cherished antique things such as old pictures and letters even though they weren’t shall we say…”in the family”. I still have a bunch of old love letters from a “supposedly” illiterate man in Blackville to his sweetheart.

I spent hours and hours rocking and talking and dreaming on that porch…by myself or with my Mother or Grandmother. The rocking chair is just like one of the ones we had.

We were dairy farmers for 14 years and although we didn’t contain our milk in this manner, it just brings back the smells and odors of the old milk room.
